Background
Burt is an accomplished hypnotherapist holding multiple hypnotherapy certifications having studied with different schools and teachers to master the depth and breadth of the wonderful field of hypnosis and hypnotherapy. Burt has studied traditional hypnosis, Ericksonian hypnotherapy, stage hypnosis, and modern styles of hypnotherapy including conversational hypnosis. He specializes in rapid, client-centered approaches which can result in positive outcomes quickly and efficiently, while also producing changes which last, not just temporary results.  He has worked with a wide variety of clients on a wide range of issues including stress reduction, exam preparation, smoking cessation, weight loss, achieving goals and peak performance, resolving emotional traumas, as well as health and medical issues (by qualified physician referral) including fibromyalgia and other syndromes.  Burt focuses on achieving results for his clients in a fast and effective as well as thorough manner. He will refer clients to other qualified professionals for issues which fall outside his scope of practice. Self hypnosis can be taught for issues which can benefit from repeated use of hypnosis. Burt likes his clients to increasingly develop more options and flexibility, through greater self knowledge and mastery, rather than become dependent on a caregiver for ongoing maintenance.
